A gift from a child ~ random moments of delight

So, this is my second week of attempting the “Random Moments of Delight” challenge.

Last week I ended up covering something that happened to my eldest son.

This week, something just so happened with my youngest son.

My eldest is very sensitive, he has an amazing ability to be empathic and know when something is wrong.  I think that is a gift.

My youngest son keeps things more to himself.  He doesn’t openly show deeper feelings,only once in a blue moone, always surprising me, but then what should I expect from a 7yr old boy.

However the other day I was lying on my mat, stretching my back out.  I hear the front door open, husband and youngest came through.  Noise erupted throughout the hallway, no change there 🙂

Then there was the sound of footsteps, I knew it was my youngests from the lightness.

Then nothing, the footsteps stopped outside my bedroom, yet I hear nothing, could not see him

“what is he up to now?” I wondered.

Then he appeared, with a chocolate heart in his hand, presented to me “mummy an early valentines present, because I love you!”

Evidence pictured below.

Warm heart and big smile….

And, oh boy it was delicious, pure chocoholic delight, not a biscuit, a pudding almost, soft moist chocolate inside, and yes I allowed all a nibble, but only a small one!

    Oh my goodness, what an endearing moment!!!!! I know those moments were few and far between with my boys, so that much more precious. Thank you for sharing it (and the chocolate 😉 ) And thank you so much for joining my challenge again this week. {{Hugs}}
