Macro Monday ~ Jewels

You know we all moan about the rain in Britain.  But apart from the obvious benefits there are really some other ‘out of the box’ rewards from having lots of random rain here in the UK.

I was reminded of one as I went for a walk just the other day.

I came across these flowers and leaves, only having my Iphone handy I took some snaps and to me what does it look like to you?

In the closer up one, it reminded me of a very fine diamond in a pale ruby setting, it truly looks like a jewel.

I played around with the colour on this one but I think I prefer the originals as they are below.

030I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them and sharing them with you.
Do you see the raindrop as a jewel?

Hi Justine .. beautiful .. raindrops are extraordinary aren’t they ..

I went to the seafront to see the tidal zones – as that was my Z post .. and the iphone pictures I took amaze me … long distance and near-by …

Incredible that we can all take photos relatively easily now … your ruby diamond is a great shot .. and I love the leaf colour … cheers Hilary

Justine – look closely at the drops of water in the last two pictures – can’t you see a reflection of something in the drops of water? I wonder if it’s you and your phone!! I enlarged them but still can’t make out enough detail, but they are definitely reflecting something when you compare them to the very clear drops in other pictures.

Good job! I love these drops and red leaves.

Justine, those are incredible shots. Just beautiful. And I see the jewel as well. I think I like the more subtle reds of the second two better. Those are keepers for sure!!!!
