Random Moment of Delight #30 friends

A busy weekend with blogger friends, birthdays, freaks & ashes!

This weekend has been just but a little bit crazy, but no surprise there.

On Friday morning I was soooo nervous and excited as I got to meet Samantha who has the blog Farmer Farthing, and who has put up with me for around 6 months give or take. ย We have had numerous chats, serious and insane and her blog keeps me regularly entertained its always a put on the kettle time when I see her posts pop up.

She happened to be in London for a family occassion and came over for breakfast with her better half, sorry equal half ๐Ÿ˜€ with I must say the most beautiful bunch of sunflowers, I was only thinking literally the day before how I love them and had not been given any ever, that’s right ever! ย So thank you, Samantha, great choice ๐Ÿ˜€

I was running around like a headless chicken trying to think “oh my what will they want for breakfast” so served up a tropical fruit salad and croissants, then found out I had no marmalade and very little jam so the hostess with not the mostest grew a red face but all seemed good.

I saw her blonde mane through the window of the door and readied myself to pounce on her with a hug in true rugby tackle style, she took it well.

They both got to meet my youngest who grunted and greeted a little whilst playing on something electronic, they also met teddy who seemed to have a rather intense desire for Kenneths flipflops which yes were on his feet at the time. ย He, being Kenneth seemed to take it all in his stride (excuse the pun).

Yes I did behave, I only threw in a bit about pelvic floor gaming apps, I promise and nothing else ruder or risque than that and yes Joshua wasn’t around then as he would have probably asked to purchase the app.

If you are wondering what on earth I am talking about please refer to this post – Fiesta Friday #27 is your pelvic floor party ready?

shrek

shrek

She asked me not to call my husband ‘shrek’ because she didn’t know how that would make her react, so of course me being me when he did come back from home, the 4th time, yes he has become a bit of a stalker I did introduce him as ‘shrek’. ย Samantha has folks, the cutest little giggle so it was well worth it. ย He did then start to scratch his ear which I pointed out discreetly as proof that he was in fact the ‘real’ shrek.

Sadly it was a short visit, but you know if you meet a blogger buddy and you have that worry will you get on as well as you do via just text, I think the answer is most likely yes. ย In our case from my point of view it was a yes, it was easy to talk and chat and felt like we had known each other ages.

I was sad to see her go, but she has promised to come back again, woohooo, paarty time!

sunflowers

Thank you for reading, folks, you are probably wondering what happened to the rest of my crazy weekend? ย No? ย Oh well…

I decided to focus on one thing at a time rather than stream off a huge post pages long and lose each little moment of delight, so expect stage 2 very soon ๐Ÿ˜€

There is fun to come I promise!

Much huggles, Justine x

Yay! Would you like your books organised by subject, size, colour, alphabet…?

Arranging books by author is the easiest, but in some cases, it doesn’t work… I have several dozen academic books which I distinguish more by subject than by author. Well, I could talk a lot about organising!

I’m in Maidenhead, so not a million miles from you, and I’m in Central London at least once a week for work, so maybe one day! ๐Ÿ™‚ Got to get the PhD done first though, so my diary is staying closed til the end of September. Sadly.
