The quickest way between two points might be a straight line, but it’s rarely the most interesting one. From strolling around a new city to browsing the shelves at a neighbourhood book store, it’s so often the unexpected turns that give meaning to our journeys.
This week, share a photo that foregoes the straightforward in favor of the twisting and winding.
I went to the Southbank last weekend for my sons 11th birthday. I had the zigzag in mind. As I was intended to take photos I kept thinking what on earth am I going to get that is semi interesting or available to shoot today.
So I came up with what I call a few ‘standard photos’ and if you stay long enough and scroll to the bottom you will see my ‘piece de resistance’.
The bottom one does have a little shock factor, be warned, it has the ‘twist’ on the take which is more ‘me’ in subject matter, as in it tickled me, or amused me, what do you think?

My twisted or ‘piece de resistance’ photo
Just to give a background to this photo, as mentioned we went to the Southbank, there we saw advertised a ‘Freak Show’ as they call themselves.
I have plenty more photos of the ‘others’ however, this man who was the main man, called ‘Lizard Man’ came up with what I thought a very unusual route from nose to mouth. He is called the ‘Lizard Man’ because he has I think its 90% of his body covered in lizard like tattoos, he has had his teeth shaved to points, he has body modification knots on his eyebrows and his tongue is forked of which he can use quite athletically LOL.
I will admit the photo is not my best quality, my excuse being that I was standing in the theatre, literally at the front. The shock factor did make me “oooh” and “aaah” surprisingly more than anticipated, hence a little camera wobble as I tried to take pics hehe!
So what do you think of ‘Lizard Man’, twisted, freaky or ziggy?
Thank you for viewing, Justine xx
