Tuesday Treats! Meeting fellow bloggers

Tuesday Treats!  Meeting fellow bloggers

Tomorrow is my birthday and wow what a fun week so far I have had, but what has made it really really special is having Samantha from FarmerFarthing come to stay for a couple of days.

Shrek doesn’t believe that one can make ‘proper’ friends through blogging, which I find beyond irritating and something else I can’t even mention.

I have known Samantha bloggy wise not long after I started blogging on WP, which was around Jan this year.  I met her a few months back for breakfast and fate would have its way to throw us together through circumstances the last couple of days.

I think making friends through the written word be it online or otherwise, obviously online is faster, to be a really rich and rewarding experience.  It is like having a direct link in to someone’s mind, this treat can take time when meeting someone new away from the online experience.

Samantha arrived after a very long coach journey and we picked her up, taking her off to Covent Garden.  This is where shrek and children disappeared and girlie time started.

Perusing around the many shops and street performers was great fun.

You might see below the ‘dog man’ which was a little crazy but hilarious.

We then went off to a few of my favourite places which I thought Samantha would enjoy.  That being Mysteries, they claim to be one of the oldest spiritualists shops in London.

Then off to another one of my favourite shops, Coco De Mer which is I suppose an adult shop, however it is one with extreme class. Housing antique thingies (I wont go in to detail), stunning lingerie of exclusive taste and sometimes if you are lucky women dressed up in Burlesque doing a window show which is great fun when the men passing walk in to various walls and windows!

We then went off to ‘Souk’ an amazing Moroccan restaurant/bar and had a cocktail, shared a mezze and put the world to rights.

Then it was off back home, the next day consisted of shopping, strolling, lunch, a bus ride or two, the last day of a psychic reading, last chats then Samantha went back home 😦

I felt really quite teary at this moment and couldn’t bear to see the taxi go off, soppy me!

Samantha is the gentlest of souls, she is absolutely the best house guest and what a wonderful friend.

It is great to have some much needed girlie time, it refreshes the soul and like the Heineken lager it gets to further places that others don’t get to.

So spread the love, remember your lovely blogger buddies are so so special and very real!

I am very jealous, but very glad you got to spend the time and see each other. Very awesome!

I figure people use the internet to find jobs and fall in love, why can’t it just be to find friends, even if you may not get a chance to see them?

    Happy Birthday Justine 😀
It is great that you share your experience about meeting a blogging friend for real, it is possible to make online friendships and great when you are able to meet in real life.

    Happy Birthday!
My husband doesn’t get it either– but I don’t think I would have gotten it before I started my blog. It seems so weird, but I have actual real live close friends that I have never met, and live across oceans and on the other side of the world. Amazing.

Hey, sorry about this, but I don’t know how to ping. Ask Sam, I’m incapable. Otherwise, I’d totally ping you, since I don’t think we’ve spoken before. Maybe we have. I don’t think so, though.
