Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular

Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular

As quoted by the Daily Post for this weeks photo challenge:

Not to put too fine a point on it, though this week, we challenge you to show us what “angular” means to you.

I have enjoyed this weeks Friday challenge as it appears my life is full of angles.

Let me walk you through them.

No 1 Covent Garden, Royal Ballet School

I was stopped in my tracks when I saw this bridge attaching one side of the Royal Ballet School to the other.

At first I had no idea what the buildings were and being one to suffer from vertigo I felt instantly dizzy looking at it yet intrigued.

Then I imagined all the little ballet dancers rushing across in their tutus and chuckled.  You will see that the bridge is semi see-through, so it would have been great fun to see them rush across.

Lots of twists, angles and turns here.

 No 2 GCSE Art

I recently went to my sons school and happened to pass through the room that holds some of the GCSE Art, he was eager to point out this piece to me of which of course I had to snap away at.

It actually is like a vent up on the ceiling, you walk one way and you see one face, you walk the other way towards it and you see this face.

I thought this a very clever piece and is only possible by the angles, no?

No 3 A footprint immortalized

I took another photo similar to this, but what first attracted my attention was the footprint immortalized.

I found this fun, but as you can see in the pavement work there are so many angles, almost dizzingly so.

No 4 no idea what this game is called

I cannot remember what I took this photo with and I simply do not know what this game is called, do any of you please?

However it is a great game where you have to make lines of 3 upon if you do you get to take your opponent.

It is all about strategy, getting the lines and holding up the angles.

If you have not played it you must try it, I have had endless hours of fun with it with my boys.

No 5 Draughts

Again I cannot remember what I took this photograph with.

However I do think it fits the angle or angular theme especially in contrast to the draught pieces, don’t you?

Do you see the rogue item?

This was a delicious truffle set as a trap to distract my son whilst playing, oh mean mummy! haha

No 6 A penned sheep

Again I cannot remember what I took this photograph with.

However, this sheep is last but not least, the angular structure keeping him penned in when I am sure he would far rather be out.

However, he was very young and was sick, with about 3 others, so it was necessary that he was kept in here, however my little heart did go out to him when I saw him.

Does he have the same effect on you?

I hope your having a fab weekend.

I would love to know which photograph you like best and why?

It is always great fun to see peoples reactions.

I hope you are enjoying the influx of photographs, in actual fact my writing head has been bursting to get out with this plethora of visual delights so you never know there might be some flash fiction coming along soon….ermmmm ish!

Ooohh, this is beautiful! The ballet school most appeals to me, perhaps also because of the image of little dancers that you conjured up 🙂

Cool- I love that work of art on the blinds- must pop into the school and take a look! Someone must be v proud of that! Also like the foot on the pavement- shows how many right angles are used in design and construction of all sorts!

What a treat! Some lovely images…

And I see no problem in combining the stranger in the night theme with aliens but the blog may take a whole new direction and may need an “R”rating….
