Today’s challenge is the ‘Edge’ and here is what the Daily Post have to say about it:
Today, show us an edge — a straight line, a narrow ridge, a precipice.
Tip: To make sure your edge packs a punch, use a photo editing tool to check the alignment and adjust the image, if needed, so that your edge is perfectly straight.
I looked up ‘Edge’ in my intial quest to see if it might spur my creative juices, it didn’t really but here is what it said:
Narcissus versus Aloe Vera
You see the soft edges of the Narcissus, to the eye one can almost tell how light against the finger the petals might be, not to mention the smell, wow!
Then we have the healing Aloe Vera, of which I am most proud, as I have not managed to KILL it yet, which is a feat in itself. The spicy edges that one can only run ones finger up one way if one doesn’t want to get pricked.
We move on to a bit of drama….
The Knife’s Edge
I went literal with a common ‘edge’ that being the knife’s edge, sharp and scary, hopefully useful.
I thought I would add a bit of grunge to it but like the way the first photo highlights the tip, the danger and sharpness of it all.
What I like about this photo is it looks like the knife has already done its work, thanks to the grunge effect, but the question is, what did it plunge its tip in to or what did it methodically cut?
You will note there is no straight alignment in any of the ‘edge’ photos, sometimes I think a bit of ad hoc haphazard alternating placements is more appealing to the eye, what do you think?
Answers on a postcard please, no honestly, the comments section is just below, your fun, banter and feedback is gratefully appreciated!
