A Frosty Monday Morning!

A Frosty Monday Morning!

I took these just the other day on the school run.  The ground was certainly slippery and I gave my son the challenge of finding plants and things of interest still with frost on.  We got distracted of course but found at least a couple, the others we were dazzled by glistening hanging droplets of rain.

There are a few edits shown here also, the first one however, I could find no way of improving it.  Not a shout out for my photography but for Mother Nature, some things just cannot be improved!

I hope you enjoy the pics and have a fabulouso week ahead and fun Christmas Time!

Perfect Mother Nature

Perfect Mother Nature

I love the lighting in the one below how it tickles in from the side.

The next one it was the colours of the plant that first caught my attention, then the long piece of the plant that was weighted down with the heaviness of the rain droplet that just hung there threatening to fall.

This was a bit of fun below, inspired by Luciles photo rehab 10, though not a scratch on hers.

Last but not least my last bit of frost for the morning!

These are lovely! I like the first one most. It looks like a pomegranate. But I wouldn’t know.

I love the “droplet of rain” – my mum had a very similar plant when we were younger. X

awe thats nice, my mother was such a keen gardener and puts me to shame in comparison, plus she knew every bird, every flower, how to grow everything lol, that serves me right for not paying attention when I was younger and preferring to climb trees rather than learn about them xx

thank you, and you know is that a rosehip? I am not sure…the ones here are usually more cylindrical but this is nice and fat lol, i will bow to your knowledge as I am rubbish at these things…if it is I should pick it lol..make some jam!!

      • December 22, 2014 at 4:52 PM

I swear my life on this claim. To confirm its authenticity you can type ‘rosehip’ on google and click on image. Then you can compare. I can ‘t have you making poison jams 🙂

      • December 22, 2014 at 4:56 PM

some rosehips are like the one on your picture, some are cylindrical like you said. depends on the variety of roses.

      • December 22, 2014 at 4:58 PM

Rosa rogusa (beach rose) are rounded while dog rose is more cylindrical. I hope these helps 🙂
