A Festive Tipple, Gordon’s Drummer’s Gin Punch for Fiesta Friday #49

A Festive Tipple, Gordon’s Drummer’s Gin Punch for Fiesta Friday #49

If you wish to see the original recipe, please click here – Gordon’s Drummer’s Gin Punch

Now I made this punch for a drink’s party not long ago, I have to say it was definitely the most popular of the two, not that the other wasn’t finished, but this one was ‘easy’ to consume.  Sometimes that makes it quite dangerous, but it really was very very tasty and great for a party!

I should have perhaps posted this before the Festive Break, however I know the hard core party goers of you will still be socializing during January 2015 and this one is for Angies, Feista Friday #49, I know the bunch there are hardcore party goers so this should suit them  just fine.  😀

Gordon’s Drummer’s Gin Punch

Ingredients

  • 500ml Gordon’s®
  • 300ml maraschino liqueur
  • 1 pineapple
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 bottle of Champagne
  • Lemon, cherries, pineapple to garnish

Each bowl serves 12 people. 1.9 units per serve.

How to make

48 hours before your party, bring together the Gordon’s and maraschino in a punch bowl with peeled, cored and sliced fresh pineapple, or two tins of pineapple, studded with a few cloves.

When ready, remove the cloves and gently blend the pineapple into the alcohol. At the last moment before serving, add your Champagne and throw in lemon wedges, cherries and pineapple pieces. Ladle into punch glasses to serve. Sensational.

Serve in punch glasses.

I hope you enjoy this tipple if you decide to indulge in it before the Festive Break is over, it really is rather yummy!

Happy Weekending, Justine xxx

Man, bloggers are bad influences on me. Not a day goes by without someone tempting me to drink. 🙂

Nope, not working. It’s a good thing I’m not the type to cave to peer pressure. Would you believe I went out to a bar over the holidays with a bunch of intoxicated friends and didn’t have a drop? I have fun drinking, but the older I get the worse the hangovers are. As long as I don’t forget that part, I can behave myself.

but you know that is good, it shows you can enjoy yourself no matter what 🙂 And yes I know the thing about hangovers getting worse hehe

This one sounds absolutely lethal.. I think that I would use small glasses, unless I wanted guests lingering under the table.. 🙂

For this time of the year one could take something warm.. I have a recipe of glögg (Swedish Mulled wine) that you should try

A happy new year, and thank you for visiting my blogg.

Fab fab. Gin is my favourite spirit. This looks yummy! I haven’t tried maraschino liqueur before – is it a strong cherry flavour? x

It’s not too strong at all, just gives it a lovely hint, really if you like gin, you should try it, its kinda a posh punch me thinks a bit of glam and who can resist a pink punch? haha x

I know it’s just a cultural difference, but I love the phase “festive break” over the “winter break” that we have here. This drink looks delicious as well. I’m sure all of our party-goers will love it, thank you so much for bringing it to Fiesta Friday, and Happy 2015!
