Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed

Weekly Photo Challenge:  Shadowed

This is from a walk I took on Christmas Eve near Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.  The walk was wonderful but as time went on the sunlight started waving goodbye.

Near the end of the walk we came up to the crescent of the hill near Pembroke Lodge and it was there I saw these two people sitting on the bench totally shadowed as was everything behind them, just the horizon over the hill, nice and bright could be seen giving a silhouette effect.

I immediately seized the moment and shot it in black and white to emphasize the contrast, there is no editing here except for putting a border and my name on it.

I was so excited at the shot I went up to the strangers and showed them.  I think it turned out to be father and daughter, obviously having a bonding moment looking over the horizon on Christmas Eve, how lovely.

He asked me to send him the photo, that made my day.

Happy Monday to you all, Justine xxx

Your Shadowed 3 images brings joy and happiness – I shared them with my parents, they felt the same when they met 35 years ago and more!!

Im not too bad except my one social media client phoned yesterday to say they needed to cost cut after busgetting as they had sold all their houses. They have four pages of lettings. They want to either stop my sociao media for them for three months , which as a business doesnt make sense or cut me down to an hour a week max which is next to nothing. Bit of a bummer. My old alexander yeacher whose also an seo expert is also taking all the social media clients locally which is a double bummer. X

That’s horrible, I know exactly how you feel though because I’m in the same boat 😦 I’ve started looking for a p/t job and hope to maybe get my Etsy shop going. I’m getting fed up with the attitude people have over social media, been messed about a lot….I ‘m a bit fed up with it to be honest! I’m free on friday morning if you fancy a chat?! xx

I don’t like guessing games when it comes to photo challenges, so I won’t be participating, but thanks for the invitation.

I was, was definitely a moment. Shrek told me off when I suggested going up to them and showing them, i think he thought i would be embarrassing myself and they wouldn’t like it. But of course I ignored him, I was excited to show them and they really really liked it, which kinda made my day x

heh yes me too. I hope they print it off and frame it or something of course thats my little fantasy of where it ends up, a friend says oh who took that then they can tell them the story of the redheaded nutter who came up to them on christmas eve joyously bouncing around with her camera lol x

I should have time this week, my participation in challenges has been slacking with returning to work. That should be better now though.

No rush on the picture post, just looking forward for when it is the “right” time 😀
