Weekly Photo Challenge: Express Yourself

Weekly Photo Challenge: Express Yourself

I saw this man in Bath on our Summer Holidays.  He was spray painting these amazing and most intricate pictures just using spray.  Somehow he managed to manipulate the picture by using cards to block and move the paint that was sprayed, but in this stage as you can see, he also used FIRE!

You can see the intense concentration on his face, the concentration that is expressed by a true artist.  You can see in the reflection the crowds that he wooed with his works.

I wanted to portray the intensity of his concentration and felt this most possible by doing a close-up and transferring the image in to an intense black and white to show the creative palette of his face.

haha seen your summary far more exciting than mine and unfortunately Charles and Camilla could not make it. We were meant to be foraging for wild plants but just ended up eating them in the most wonderful meal prepared for us when we got back form our walk x

I like that you did the black and white as well as the color. Must have been so interesting to watch him.

he was actually so serene and methodical, i was looking at his hands in both the shots and though he is doing something quite different, minutes later his pose and hand position on his lap is almost identical x

Sounds like he is in a (healthy) altered state of consciousness. That brings bliss!

I look forward to reading about it. I imagine it is like a biomat I tried last year.
