Eclectic Corner #7,  Street Lilfe, Photogrpahy & Writing

This is my second entry for this Street Life edition of Eclectic Corner.  Don’t forget we have a longer run on the event this time around, the InLinkz doesn’t close until 20th March so tonnes of time for an entry, or two, or three 😀

I love Eclectic Corner (medium)

Thank you’s

We had a rather quiet Eclectic Corner for #6, only four participants, but wonderful nonetheless, giving a varied and emotionally tweeking pieces.

If you wish to go direct, please pop by the InLinkz page which you will find here:- Eclectic Corner #6 InLinkz Page

I had provided a piece of written text and prompted anyone to provide either a photograph or an extension of the written piece, or both if feeling duly generous.

First we had Andy Townend who provided both photograph and written piece which I will say provided a cold fearful chill down my spine when I saw it, pop by and tell me what you think, did it scare you? lol

Next we had Morpethroad who again generously provided both photography and the written word.  He wrote a lovely extension of the story with one of those “Ohhh nooo what happened next?” endings, see if you can think what happened next, pop by and say hello.

After this we had Martha   who amidst packing and moving house amazingly found time to provide the most wonderful photo of a painting and some written words, this story again gave me quite a chill, I think there must have been something dark in the air when I wrote this prompt!  Pop by and see if you know what the ending might be and let me know please.

Last but not least we had Mark who provided both again a photograph of a favourite watering hole and a story which was uplifting and refreshing, full of colour and imagination, pop by to read it and say hello, you will always get a warm welcome.

What is happening this week?

Firstly apologies for posting this rather late.  This week has gone crazy for moi.

This week I am posting a Prompt of which I would invite people to submit anything they like they feel related to it.  Be it a photograph, a poem, a story, quote, anything, really, bring it to the blog collective and have some fun.

It would be wonderful if some of my new poetry buddies would contribute to this also and my current blogging buddies who are finding poetry swelling in their hearts hehe x

What is the prompt I hear you ask?

It is……

Street Life

I think street life as a prompt can be full of a wealth of stories, photographs, events, anything.  I have chosen this one for two reasons.  One because of the former I hope it will provide some flexibility and give you all a lot to come up with.  I would love to see some additional participants over my lovely loyal regulars who you will have great fun with if you make sure to pop by and say hello.

I am doing things a little differently this time.  The InLinkz will remain open until Friday 20th of March 2015 closing at 5am GMT.

I would love for you to link back to this page, fill in the InLinkz page too as many times as you want, ie multiple entries and if your linking elsewhere, then that is great too.  Let’s spread the love.

The reason I am extending this is that I am going away next week (week beginning) 2nd March to the Pain Management Clinic and though I could pre-schedule I feel the events deserve link backs and mentions which I cannot do unless I post whilst I am away which is going to be impossible.

HOWEVER, I will be reading lots, so please give me lots to read and I will also be commenting, so please make your fun, fab entries, say hello to me and the other blog hoppers.

The next Eclectic Corner will be being posted on Tuesday 24th March 2015.

My donation for this event

 Street Life

“Street culture is a culture of containment. Most young people do not realize that it all too often leads to a “dead end”. “Street culture,” as I am using the term, is a counterforce to movement culture. Street culture in contemporary urban reality is synonymous with survival at all costs. This world view is mostly negative, because it demands constant adjustment to circumstances that are often far beyond young people’s control or understanding, such as economics, education, housing, employment, nutrition, law, and so forth.”

I took these photos at Southbank on a gloriously sunny day, when was that? lol  The street entertainers were abundant and amazing!

What do you think?

You can find some other street art photos I have gleaned from the internet on some of my Wordless Wednesday posts of old, you will find them here:  Wordless Wednesdays
