The Journey From Hell

So the day is here, our Easter Holiday! I brace myself for the four hour journey with pit stops  to North Devon.

I know the long drive will be worth it we go every year and it’s beautiful.

However we don’t bank on road works which makes the four journey a whopping eight hour one.  This would be bad enough but certainly a challenge for moi!

So I decide to treat myself and get some sugary intake as my curly little tail comes out.

All for me!!!

No seriously I am not that piggish.  Perhaps a bit stupid at times giving already hyperactive children in a confined space Crispy Cremes.

However as it turns out I had more to worry about than the kids, you will see below.

Shrek decided that it would be fun to entertain himself by pretending to shoot random innocent road users with his finger gun! This leads me to think I could possibly be travelling with a psychopath.

Teddy though he would join in on the murderous activities and tried to gas is all out of the car, he thought it terribly funny as you can see!  I’ve never seen a dog wink before.

Even the Giant appeared to be fleeing as we drove past!

Perhaps it is because of the latest #Breakingnews that in fact Morrisons seem to have stolen Minecraft.  Life will never be the same for my youngest.

Evidence below:

However all was good when we finally arrived at some hideously late hour to be presented with fresh scones, except we were too utterly traumatised to enjoy such a thing.

Confessional time:- I simply had no time to write up a Tea-Time post for this Tuesday so I might just slowly torture you and enjoy these scones then which by then won’t be so fresh!

The beast was firmly locked up in a cage for the night, he thought it was a punishment and doesn’t realiZe he will be going in there every night! Evil laugh … Revenge! (To all animal lovers he was fine with it, before I get hate mail)

All is good this morning even the rain didn’t seem to bother me as I enjoyed my breakfast!

That’s all for now folks as I make moves to enjoy my Easter Break I hope you have a lovely weekend.  I’m posting this from my phone so have no idea what it will look like from your big screens! ❀

Where are you staying? We go to north Devon a lot – that drive past Morrisons is very familiar! Loving the scones and cream tea.

Oh dear, I’m sorry about the horror you experienced, but to me it looks like lots, lots of fun! “Shrek” is hilarious and I hope you’ll have a great holiday! I still remember the wonderful photos you took in Devon last year… And the horror of the last year’s trip!

sounds pleasant really, and all about the food (however I remember family hols holed up in the car and the long drives and hey it wasnt fun, we never got crispy cremes though just KFC after 12 hours of driving havent had it for decades (gosh im old) but I remember pulling over the bridge in Knaresborough I think it was onto the parking lot of KFC and getting a big bucket with fondness – also reminds me I have not made your tuesday tea time – when does the posting end for that? I will make it this week I have the perfect pics!

    Have fun!

Matthew and his cousin either like pretending one is about to kill the other in the backseat or, if Matthew is riding with me alone, staring down the person in the car next to us. Great.
