Weekly photo challenge: Ephemeral

Today we braved the blustery winds and coldness of the sand dunes in North Devon whilst on holiday. It’s the first proper day down on the beach and no weather was going to beat us a retreat back home.

My boys have always loved the sand dunes finding them an endless source of fun.  After having visited Devon for some 9 years now I see how some of them have become sculpted like mountains with incredibly steep high sides.

My boys always fancy themselves as Ninjas or to be a professional at Parkour and looking back at these photos they nearly hit the bill lol!

I just adore these, the fun, how excited they were leaping off the sandy sides of the dunes in unison, getting quite high up before plummeting in to the downward sloping sands.

I had to ask them to repeat the jump because believe you me in just a matter of seconds its all over.  An ephemeral moment.

Justine, I remember your posts from last year at the dunes. As I recall you had a rather frightening (but brave) climb yourself !! Have fun and safe travels and adventures 💖

Hello Jussie! Fabulous capture of the boys. And you did the same last year? Wow.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying yourselves there. Always good to be at the seaside. It feels cold there but m’am you’re outside in the hot tub with the stif upper lips! Love it!!
Have fun there! You deserve it after your successful 10-say course.

Ah yes we come here for 9 years but stay in different places hehe I love it here! The winds are horribly cold but it doesn’t stop us not yet anyway and I went to a food fair and tomorrow antique fair so couldn’t be happier…grinz. How’s sunny Portugal? X

That sounds wonderful despite or because of the weather. I see shopping posts being born very soon!
Portugal was much better than what we had expected. Porto is a beautiful, cosy place to spend a long weekend. Great food, lots to visit in and around the city. And the weather wasn’t so warm but better than here which is 9C with winds of 8-9 bft force and unstoppable rain.
We fell like retuning there again.
