What subject keeps you coming back? This week, show us your muse.
Without a doubt, my photographic muse has to be ‘Mother Nature’.
If you are a regular long term reader of mine you will have heard the story I am about to tell below, if so please feel free to skip to the visuals.
Approximately four years ago (I lose track of time), I started to suffer with chronic pain. It started off with immobilising me, I spent on three bouts months in bed, just getting up was a challenge, the next small moves to get down the stairs and so forth. Three times I worked up over a period of months to be able to walk to the letterbox at the end of the road. Twice I had a set-back after months and ended up back in bed.
Touch wood, I ‘hope’ I have moved on and stayed on, but I still have chronic pain, but I am mobile and that is wonderful.
During this period however, I had moments when I thought I seriously would not get to see the ‘outside’ again. I cannot even begin to describe how that feels. Something changed when I did finally get to go outside and that is my appreciation firstly of Mother Nature. I was like a child with an “oooh” and a “ahh” when I would pass flowers and such like. This was to the amusement then slight annoyance of my family LOL. They think I should have gotten over it by now, but I have not and am glad not to, because ‘Mother Nature’ is to be adored.
I hope that too one day they will appreciate it like me because it is glorious and I never tire of taking pictures of her, I hope you enjoy the photographic nature gifts that I bring to you today.
Happy Monday, what are you up to this week that you wish to share? Justine xx
