Apple and Banana Crumble, oh my!
This is a real oh my knock your socks off putting. Totally indulgent and very very sweet, so for the faint hearted of you really don’t try it LOL. Real kids food that adults like and feel terribly bad afterwards for having eaten and enjoyed so much 😀
Apple and Banana Crumble
- 2 bramley apples, peeled
- 3 coxs apples, peeled
- 125g caster sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 50g butter, unsalted
- 3 bananas, chopped
For the topping
- 150g plain flour
- 100g butter, unsalted
- 150g demerara sugar
- Crème fraiche or custard!
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4. For the topping, rub the flour, butter and sugar together, then spread on a tray and bake for about 12 minutes until crisp and golden. You may need to mix it a bit halfway through.
2. Meanwhile cut the apples into thick wedges and place in a pan. Add the sugar, cinnamon and butter and cook until just soft. Fold in the bananas then spoon into individual pie dishes.
3. Spoon the crumble over the hot fruit and serve with crème fraiche or custard! 😀
This forms a little contribution for Fiesta Friday #93 for those who like to eat and party!
