Saris and the Serpentine

Weekly photo challenge Pure

After a hectic half term I am finally getting back to the computer and the luxury of blogging.

This weekend is the Queen mother’s birthday and as such London is celebrating earnestly.

I decided it was time for a picnic and a visit to the Serpentine and it’s gallery.  This particular trip and location had not been participated in for many years.

The weather decided to be hot and sticky for most of the day before Bucketing down half way through my picnic which by the way was courtesy of Harrods food hall, a total luxury.

It was in Harrods food hall that I discovered Sari cakes. These are absolutely stunning to look at and hand decorated. At a nifty £700 a piece everyone should have one.  I have shared some pictures below of these wonderful creations.

These cakes I think would go down well at the weekly blogging foodie party Fiesta Friday.

Along the Serpentine river in search of a suitable location where dotted hundreds of different birds many of the geese with their goslings and it was here that I discovered a suitable entry for the weekly photo challenge Pure.  What do you think?

I hope you are having a beautiful week and getting up to lots of weird & wonderful things.  Justine X
