Weekly Photo Challenge: Edge

Weekly Photo Challenge: Edge

I chuckled when I saw these photos taken in Devon not so long ago.  My sons had just had a series of surfing lessons, wow it was cold and the wind was blowing but they loved it.

It was a long walk down to the water’s edge and there were series of ripples and little pools in the dips of sand made by waves prior.  The thing is you don’t really think of the impact that landing on wet sand and water has against a fast moving object.  You don’t tend to get as far as you expect.  My son found this out as he landed on the edge of a mini pool rather than clearing it to the other side.

I thought this a fitting and fun trio of photos for the Daily Post’s subject matter of Edge.

Have you been surfing?  Was it hot or cold where you were?  How did you find it?

Me, never surfed, but love watching it.  Justine xx

What a lovely collection Justine! Despite living in Aus I don’t actually surf but I love being in the water when it’s hot enough to go swimming.

Thank you Debbie. In this instance I was in wellies, the water was tumbling over the edge and it was like ice. My silly little pug puppy at the time tried to follow me in nearly getting hypothermia, all in the name of getting a good photo LOL. He survived! My toes didn’t though 🙂 Living in Australia must just be a dream place to be 365 x

That sounds particularly unpleasant, but the photos are worth it. Living here isn’t always a dream, we’ve had the wettest winter in years and just want to have some spring sunshine instead of spring showers!
