Weekly Photo Challenge: Shine

Weekly Photo Challenge:  Shine

For all you doggy fans out there you might like to see my take on this week’s photo challenge focusing on the word:  Shine.

I was resident photographer for The Friends of Palewell Common’s 2nd Dog Show.  The Friends of which I am a Committee Member is a voluntary group that acts as guardians for our local green space.  We hold events amongst other things to drum up membership, community awareness of what we do and to provide some fun. We had our first dog show last year and had no idea how it would go.  They say the second year is the telling year.  It was just as popular and we had wonderful support from local business’s in the form of sponsorship, prizes and one vets came down to give advice to the customers joining in.

I have to say ALL the dogs were wonderful.  You can see the full event here:  Lots of woofs & waggy tails at The Friends 2nd Dog Show!

Whilst I was doing the mammoth task of sorting through the photographs afterwards getting them ready for posting I discovered two shots that showed the sunshine coating the dogs in a rainbow of colour.  It is very subtle but beautiful I think.  What a treat.  The bottom photo shows the lovely puppy that won the cutest puppy category!

I hope you enjoy.

Hey Justine, these are gorgeous photos. I’m a huge doggy person, can’t imagine life without my Harry. Our rescue dog of 10 years.
