Weekly Photo Challenge: New Horizon

Weekly Photo Challenge: New Horizon

The focus for this week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge is the word ‘new horizons‘ and we are asked to think ahead and show your work in a representative photo.

To me there is always something magical about a sunset and this one a real spontaneous treat as wasn’t expecting to catch such delights.

I have been taking photography classes (posts on that to come) and this was one of my homework sessions to practice on manual which for a novice like me fairly nerve wracking.

There were of course plenty of mistakes, but a couple of nice surprises for me as shown below.

Sunset to me represents the beauty of the moments we have had, the moments we are having and the morphing in to another new beautiful day to come.  Justine

Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal. Elbert Hubbard

Thank you Dahlia, I think sunsets top only slightly a sunrise or perhaps that is because I’m too lazy to get up on time and catch one :-). A magical moment

The pictures are stunning and although they represent the same thing, sunset, they are different In their own ways and I love that.

Oh I forgot to tell you I think that I spent two days with Ajahn Brahm, my kind of substitute Amma, amazing it was. We are thinking however of perhaps going to India next Christmas 🙂

You are going to see Amma! Funny I decided if ever I go to India U want to stop a few days in Uk to cut the long trip and make it more tolerable. A man who visits his family from Canada to Pakistan stops in U.K.

Oh please come see me in the UK if you visit that would be wonderful. I don’t think we will see Amma if we go to India which is a shame but my husband and boys will be with me too and I’m not sure exactly where we will be. Still lots of research to do. Also he wants to visit Nagaur which is his family surname. A shame though if she would be nearby. I doubt they do spontaneous pop by visits xxx

Oh you are so funny, my dear! If I do plan a trip via UK I will let you know. Amma was in Dublin last October. I would have loved to see her there and visit BallyBunion where my family is from. But saw the notice too late to arrange for time off. Try to check http://www.amma.org (meeting Amma) regularly and you will see her tours are all listed a few months ahead of time
