Cherry Martinis

Cherry Martinis

I don’t really drink, just occasionally for special occasions, however I would like to put a warning out with this recipe.  That is that this drink is one of those sneaky ones like Pimms, which though you taste the alcohol, it doesn’t feel that strong, it’s just sweet and tasty, leaving you wanting another, then another, before you know it you are cross eyed.  I never got to that state however, but if you do, please let me know.  This is just a beautiful cocktail, perfect for all year round due to the pineapple, I don’t think it’s just for winter at all.

Cherry Martinis

So how to you make it?

Cherry Martinis

Ingredients & How To

Makes 6 depending how big your glasses are!

  1. In to a large jug measure about 300ml (1/2 pt) vodka, 125ml  (4fl oz) cherry liqueur (can use any other fruity liqueur as per your preference) and 500ml  (17fl oz) pineapple juice.
  2. Stir well and fill the jug with ice.  It is important to have this chilled, you can even freeze a cherry per ice cube if you wish to be really clever.
  3. Add a cherry for decoration, make sure to remind people if stones are still in, don’t want them choking, that could really ruin a party!
